OROVILLE, Calif. — E&J’s Mobile Kitchen came on the scene with hot food to evacuees of the North Complex West Zone Fire Sunday in the parking lot of the Lakeside Marketplace off Olive Highway and Old Miners Road.

Staff and volunteers made soup, sandwiches, hot dogs and burgers to go along with chips and water to served people affected by fire.

People appreciated the effort of Kitchen staff.

“I just know that I was here 22 months ago, so I know the feeling,” said Elizabeth Jernberg, the owner of E&J’s Mobile Kitchen.

“I know what it’s like to be a family that is hungry, lost and feeling defeated by life,” she said.

E&J’s collected $3000 in donations and added his own $500 for this noble cause.
